In our Italian shoes wholesale flats are a must-have item

Trendy details and only the best quality materials, say everything about the origin of the shoes in our catalogue of wholesale shoes: Italy, the country where shoes have a leading role. That Made in Italy style is, in fact, not just an image choice, but also a guarantee for anyone who buys our shoes and offers them to their customers. From the careful selection of quality raw materials (leather, canvas, rubber), to the quality trimmings, to the design of the models, the skilful hand of the expert shoe manufacturers can be seen and recognised in every shop window. In terms of promoting them further, well, they can do that for themselves: our flat shoes of which, the only thing that is flat is the sole, but certainly not the quality!

To say simply flats is not enough: because there is a whole universe of shoes with little or no heel and it’s a universe made up of moccasins, sabot, ballerina flats, ankle boots...one for every season of the year and every moment of the day. It would not be possible to have our winter collection, for example, without “polacchini”, a type of low or half ankle boot, in a lace-up version or without any bootlaces, originally used to protect feet from the freezing cold in the cities of the North, then elected to status symbol in the nineteen-fifties in the designer version created by the Clarks brothers. Where their name originally comes from, nobody knows. What is certain is that from their humble original sole in rubber and upper in soft suede, ankle boots have gone through a whole cycle of evolution which has seen them become ever more elaborate (and irresistible!). It is from those ankle boots that today we have models with wedges and high heels, half way between brogues and ankle boots. For those who prefer the “flat” style, they can rest assured: even without the help of a heel, low ankle boots are one of the coolest accessories to be seen in today of our wholesale Italian shoes because they know how to combine, better than any other shoe, classic feel and modern style. How? For example by using inserts in metal or plastic, such as little studs and luminous rhinestones which “lighten” the shoe, immediately transforming it into something modern and stylish.

But low ankle boots are by no means the only shoe to have undergone such an important whole image makeover. A prince among flat shoes, the mule stands out: one of the most comfortable styles ever created in the history of shoemaking, originally created in France at the end of XVIII century, it made a comeback in the hippy era, and has come back into the limelight over the last few years. It’s pointless to deny it, when it comes to mules either you love them or you hate them: but if you love them, then you will love them forever! Closely related to clogs, mules are the typical shoe for those who don’t want to feel restricted by a closed shoe, but at the same time don’t want to expose too much foot to be seen by everyone. This is why they have become an evergreen both for winter and for summer: just change the material, update the shape, and voilà, the mule is on the catwalks again and ready to win the hearts of new fans. In fact this unusual shoe owes its enormous versatility precisely to the quality of footwear, semi-open or half closed (depending on how you see it) which makes it the perfect shoe for the spring and autumn seasons. With a covering of fur and the sole slightly raised, for example, mules can almost take on an air of an elegant and chic slipper. But if you see it in the spring version, with openwork and coloured prints, they are an excellent alternative to ballerina flats and espadrilles. Resistant but refined, mules are in fact one of the items most highly appreciated by our sophisticated and attentive to comfort clientele.

In our wholesale footwear, there is of course a lot of Italy, but there’s also a pinch of Spain, France and the United States of America. In fact, our catalogue would not be complete without the famous espadrilles, the shoes with the sole in “matting” (straw or wood, but these days also in rubber and other more hi-tech materials) and the upper in cotton typical of the sun-drenched Spanish summers. In monochrome or in fun multi-coloured versions, espadrilles are a must have for the hot season because they leave the foot free to breathe and uncovered just enough to avoid exposure to the sun and dust. Worn by famous names such as Picasso and created by top fashion designers, espadrilles are among the highest selling flat shoes of our wholesale online range, thanks to their immediate but distinct association with holidays.

When talking of flat shoes, it is impossible not to mention the timeless ballerina flats. Used to being the centre of attention, ballerina flats have in fact always been one of the most loved types of shoes by women of all ages. Brigitte Bardot was the first to wear them on stage, but perhaps only Audrey Hepburn really knew how to give ballerina flats the role they deserved and have never since abandoned: that of a discreet, elegant and charming shoe. Indeed ballerina flats are not only comfortable, but also add that extra touch of class, so easy to combine with every kind of outfit: from a long skirt to a short one, from slim-fit, knee-length pedal-pushers to tight-fitting leggings. An ace up the sleeve for anyone not used to wearing high heels (but doesn’t want to give up femininity completely), ballerina flats are easy to slip on your feet in two seconds and are often more comfortable than house slippers!

Another shoe with a classic touch is the famous moccasin or, to give them their English name, penny loafers. Another huge success among our wholesale flat shoes, moccasins are associated with images of boats, the sailing life and a slow pace of life. And yet very few people know that, talking of pace of life, the very first moccasins had any thing but a slow pace, especially considering that one of their first and most famous admirers was the great Fred Astaire! Passing from the context of tap-dancing to the American colleges, moccasins, with their typical lip-shaped band, declaring straight away all the comfort that they are capable of providing.

And on the other hand moccasins, ballerina flats, mules: all the flat shoes of our catalogue, by definition, combine comfort and style. Offer them to your clientele: you won’t be disappointed!
